Does it cost money to get into Playalinda Beach?
There are two entrance stations located at Apollo Beach via New Smyrna and Playalinda Beach via Titusville. Per vehicle fee (cars, mini-vans, etc..), valid for 7 days. The motorcycle entrance fee is valid for 7 days and is a per motorcycle fee. Pedestrians entering the park on foot or bicycle will pay $10 per person.
Can you drive on Canaveral National Seashore?
The north and south entrances are independent of each other. If you come into the seashore from the north you must exit from the north. If you come in from the south, you have to exit there. There is a section between the north and south beaches known as Klondike Beach where there is no road access.
Why is Playalinda Beach closed?

The closure, due to a rocket launch at Kennedy Space Center’s Launch Complex 39A, will include all National Park Service areas from parking area 13 south to the Playalinda Road Gate, near the intersection with Florida Highway 3.

This is a beautiful white beach which is clean and very pleasant. There are actually about 13 beach areas you can park at, but all are connected. With piers and bridges over the dunes and onto the beach, it is easy to access the beach without damaging the dunes.
