How long does night last in State of Decay?

State of Decay and State of Decay 2 use a very common open world feature, a day and night cycle. Day and night have their own advantages and disadvantages. Daytime lasts for an hour of real time, followed by an hour of nighttime, which makes in total two hours for a 24 hour day cycle.

No matter what you do, the game will become progressively more difficult as the days go by. More freaks will spawn over time, with day three usually getting really serious. If you want to decrease the difficulty a bit, you’re gonna have to start clearing out the infestations as they start appearing.

Yes, enemies can see your flashlight in the game. This will make it easier for you to avoid them and sneak past them.

Does State of Decay 2 get harder as you play?

Game does get easier as you go along though. Between the better weapons, and more knowledge of how to approach things, the game doesn’t scale up difficulty to match you.

Does state of decay 2 have an ending?

Completing the last part of the Legacy questline will result in you seeing the credits and State of Decay 2 officially ‘ending. ‘ However, by completing the Legacy mission, you’ll have unlocked a Boon for a future playthrough (again this varies depending on your leader).
